I’ts obvious that I’m not really paying attention to what I’m doing.

I’ts obvious that I’m not really paying attention to what I’m doing.
So I tried somthing on a relativly fresh install of Ubuntu Breezy Badger today. I plugged my iPod in, opened Rhythmbox, and expected to be able to play music. I was dissapointed at first, tells me it doesnt have the plugin. My disapointment was dispelled quickly, as I forgot about having to aquire the mad and faac/faad plugins. I went off and got them, then started Rthymbox again. I opened my iPod and played a song. And it played.
This is all I really want in an OS. For things to just work. This is Project Utopia in clear action. And I like it.
Obligatory screeny:

In Firefox right click on the image and click ‘View Image’ to see the actual details.
So what was originally going to be two days off sick turned into a week. Fun fun fun, but slightly boring. It’ll be good to be back at school for my last week before my next work placement with PEER Training.
I’m really hoping I’m back at Flinders University Data-Coms again, although last-time I got dumped with the IT Depot because they were too busy to take another trainee on. That still turned out well as I learnt a fair bit anyway, and got a very clear picture of where I’m going career wise.
I also want to go back to Flinders Uni, since its right near my school (Same campus! Wooteh!), the folk there are all kick-ass, I know the area well, and its a short 20min bus ride. Plus the more I get to know the staff there, the more job contacts I have.
That and I’ve been steadilly learning all sorts of interesting things about their network. I already know the addresses of far to many things of the top of my head. I’d really like to map the entire place out network wise, but that might be pushing it a bit. I suppose I could say its just for personal education, which it actually is, but eh. I dont want to tread on any toes.
And just so you all know, ‘The Avalanches’ are one of the greatest bands I have ever had the fortune of listening to.
So I’m thinking, yeah, It’ll be right, nah, it won’t start raining, yeah, I’ll have an hour or so on the trails before I go home (This is what I was saying to myself as I ride there mind you). So what happens just as the trails come into view? Pitter patter pitter patter, it starts FUCKING RAINING.
Now I’m off school for two days sick, waking up each morning feeling half drowned.
Bfaaah…
